Conor McGregor spits at fan after ‘Let’s go Khabib’ taunt

UFC star Conor McGregor has once again found himself at the centre of controversy after a video surfaced showing him spitting at a fan who taunted him with a chant supporting his longtime rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The footage captures the former two-division champion reacting aggressively after a fan shouted, “Let’s go, Khabib!” while he was in public.

In response, McGregor spat at the individual and then mockingly said, “I spat in your face, what did you do… nothing.”

The incident comes just days after McGregor launched an expletive-laden tirade against Nurmagomedov, using offensive language that drew widespread criticism.

His remarks followed Khabib’s comments in which he defended fellow fighter Paul Hughes and referred to McGregor as a “rapist.”

McGregor and Nurmagomedov have maintained a heated rivalry since their infamous 2018 bout, which ended in a post-fight brawl involving both fighters’ teams.

Despite years passing, tensions between the two remain high, with McGregor frequently making inflammatory statements about his former opponent.

While many had hoped the animosity would subside, McGregor’s latest actions suggest otherwise.

His conduct continues to raise concerns among fans and analysts about his increasingly erratic public behaviour.

McGregor’s reputation for controversy has long been part of his public persona, but his latest altercation has reignited debate over whether he is pushing the limits of acceptable behaviour.

Despite the backlash, the Irish fighter appears undeterred.

He has made no public apology for the incident, further cementing his status as one of the most polarising figures in mixed martial arts.

McGregor, who has not fought in the UFC since 2021 due to injury, is expected to make his long-awaited return later this year.

However, his latest antics may once again overshadow his career inside the octagon.
