Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo set bar high for BFF goals

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo became so close that they went through their Wicked contracts together to get “aligned.”

In a chat with Jessica Shaw for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, the Grammy winner said her bond with her co-star deepened before the production because they were signed up for the film a year ago from filming.

“During that time, we were really getting to know each other in a real human way. We talk a lot about this pact that we made to take care of each other and to be really honest with each other about anything that was to come up, but I don’t think people really get how granular we got and how fully we mean that,” the 7 Rings singer recalled.

To strengthen their bond, Ariana said she suggested going through their contracts together to “align.”

“‘Let’s go beat per beat through this together and make sure we are aligned in what we need,'” she continued.

“‘If need something, we need it together. I want us to have each other’s backs. Your problems become my problems, and mine become yours,'” Ariana concluded.
