Sophie Gregoire reacts to Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry romance

Sophie Gregoire reacts to Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry romance

Sophie Gregoire has spoken about how she is handling her ex-husband Justin Trudeau’s new romance with pop icon Katy Perry.

The 50-year-old TV presenter opened up on the Arlene Is Alone podcast a month after Justin and Katy appeared publicly together in Paris for the singer’s birthday.

Sophie admitted that it is normal to be affected when an ex starts a new relationship, saying: “We’re human beings and stuff affects us. Normal.

How you react to stuff is your decision. So I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.”

She added that while she feels emotions like crying, laughing, or sadness, she decided how to respond to them.

The TV presenter explained that letting herself feel is important, but she avoids being reactive to public attention.

“I’ll let myself be disappointed by someone, I’ll let myself be angry, be sad. And I know for a fact how important it is, as a mental health advocate, to feel those emotions”.

Sophie also stressed her focus on family, as she and Justin share children Xavier, 18, Hadrien, 11, and Ella-Grace, 16.

The former first lady further said that even though they live separate lives, they prioritise their family.

“You need a common, conscious decision that our family is our greatest creation and we’re going to feed it together, no matter if we’re on different life paths,” she explained.

However, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau addressed the challenges of public attention surrounding her ex-husband Justin Trudeau’s relationship with Katy Perry while highlighting the importance of prioritising her children and family life.
