Queen Camilla dazzles King Charles as couple attend Italy State Banquet

Queen Camilla, dressed in a striking turquoise Fiona Clare lace dress, joined King Charles as the couple headed to the lavish State Banquet at the Palazzo Quirinale, hosted by the Italian President.

The 77-year-old royal also added a sentimental piece of jewellery to her ensemble as she honoured her late mother, Rosalind Shand. Camilla opted for her mother’s diamond necklace which also had turquoise tones, aptly complementing her dress.

Meanwhile, Charles looked sharp in a suit and black bow tie, sporting his U.K. Order of Merit ribbon around his neck with the Italian Order of Merit star.

In a video released by Buckingham Palace, Camilla was seen coming down from the stairs and flashing a smile at the camera. The video then cuts to the royal couple in the car heading to the venue.

Charles was seen grinning ear-to-ear as he sat next to his wife in the car, appearing smitten as the pair marked a special occasion. The state dinner coincided with the couple’s 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

The King and President delivered toasts and guests dined on a four-course meal including vegetables, pasta with aubergine caponata, sea bass in salt crust, and ice cream cake with raspberries.

After the state banquet, the couple will travel back to the U.K. after they wrap the trip in Ravenna on Thursday.
