Prince Andrew breaks cover to attend memorial service of beloved royal

Prince Andrew joined the royal family at Windsor Castle for a sad moment at Windsor Castle on Friday.

The Duke of York looked sad after attending a memorial service for his late father, Prince Philip, which was held to mark four years since the death of the former Duke of Edinburgh, who breathed hi last on April 9, 2021 at the age of 99.

Dressed formally in a black suit and white shirt, the 65-year-old was photographed while leaving the Berkshire estate. He was seen driving away from the castle in the early afternoon, his demeanour reflecting the poignancy of the occasion

The royal family gathered a day after the fourth anniversary of the former Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, which was held at St George’s Chapel on April 17, 2021. However, it remains unclear which royals attended Friday’s memorial.

The service appeared to be a private family affair, bringing together those closest to the late Duke to commemorate his life and legacy.

Andrew’s public appearance comes a day before the royal family’s annual Easter Sunday walk.

It’s being reported that the Duke and Duchess of York, who previously attended event, will skip the walk this year.
