Jameela Jamil’s slammed for controversial remarks on social media.

Jameela Jamil has come under fire for making controversial remarks online.

Her comment on a social media post reporting the alleged murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson by Luigi Mangione, the suspect charged with the shooting, has sparked backlash against the English actress.

The 38-year-old actress and activist shared her opinion under Saint Hoax’s Instagram post.

“A star is born,” she wrote. 

The post read, “Person of interest in CEO shooting identified as Luigi Mangione,” along with the caption, “They (allegedly) got him.”

Sainthoax shared a carousel of posts featuring the 26-year-old suspect, including a shirtless picture of him hiking.

Jamil’s comment was met with a mixed reaction by fans, with one person strongly labeling it as, “shameful.”

However, some appreciated The Good Place alum’s witty humour and responded with equal wit.

“You made my wig leave my body,” the fan playfully replied to her. 

Mangione has been officially charged with the murder of Brian Thompson following his arrest at McDonald’s.

He was also charged with gun and forgery after the CEO’s untimely death.

His family came forward and shared their own statements regarding the situation, “Our family is shocked and devastated by Mangione’s arrest. We offer our prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved.”
