Govt announces decrease in petrol, diesel prices

The Ministry of Finance announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products for the next forthnight starting from February 16 (Sunday).

According to details, following the issuance of an official notification, the petrol prices were decreased by one rupee per litre, bringing the new price to Rs256.13 per litre.

High-speed diesel prices saw a substantial drop of four rupees per litre, now priced at Rs263.95 per litre.

Kerosene oil was reduced by three rupees and twenty paise per litre, bringing its new price to Rs171.65 per litre.

Additionally, light diesel oil experienced a price reduction of five rupees and twenty-five paise per litre, with the new price set at Rs155.81 per litre.

The new prices came into effect starting from midnight, and would remain in place for the next 15 days, as per the official notification.
